So I posted earlier about blown hg on lb7. Well I pulled it today, what a beotch! Anyway 7 straight hours. Stupid core support in the way hung me up for another hour.. To you guys that have pulled your engines any tips will be good right now like things to possibly replace that will be hell in the truck. I'm about to pull everything off to replace head gaskets with new studs reseal all injector sleeves, new rebuilt or whatever factory flow injectors. I pulled motor because the rear main is dumping oil like crazy. Anything else I should do that a may regret not doing later?

Thanks and yes wp is new so are thermostats and that pesky hard to deal with odd ball size short hose. Listen I've been reading like crazy and it's south bill shat on net about hg. Wth? I would love a straight answer on what to use. I don't have the time to order anything special from California. I have a parts house I use who has quality stuff. They are showing 3 different thicknesses. Urg! Should I just measure mine and get the same? Also what about flex plate bolts are they tty? And now that I've worked on gm stuff the engineers who design the trans fluid hose connectors must have been still drunk
@dirtymaxo3 I may need a set after I smacked my #8 piston and hydro locked it. I tried to move it 20 feet to the lift. Man I hope I didn't hurt that rod. It was stil locked while I was removing the converter bolts. Locked with normal rotation the last few degrees but turned all the way backwards. Weird
polish your heads. I did mine while it was out and had them re sprug also. oh do your cam sensor: that thing is a biotch with everything hooked up. maybe manifolds and up pipes?
