I have a 2003 gmc 2500 4x4 lb7. I've noticed it idles a little more rough than my old lb7 I had previously. It was hazing at idle and the strange part to me was that on the highway it would feel like it would surge on and the engine temp gauge would go to 160 from 210 and back up then back down. When I would come to a stop then take off again the temp would do the same and you'd hear loud injector chatter or what it sounds like. Almost like a school bus or and old 7.3 then stop and temp would go back to 210. Well last week I took off from a red light and something popped and a bunch of white smoke came out of the exhaust and threw 18 codes. Turned out to be the FICM was bad replaced it and it started right up but it's still idling kinda rough and the engine temp is acting crazy too. The guy I bought it from gave me paperwork on new injectors, new cp3 and new t-stat. The balance rates showed 5 injectors bad before the ficm went and I figured that was what was causeing my issues but I guess not. Any ideas of what it needs? The injectors have about 10k miles or less on them and they were Bosch injectors. Any help would be great! Thanks!

It sounds like one or multiple cups are leaking

If the temperature sensor is freaking out, it could alter the way the truck runs somewhat, but it more sounds like you are getting combustion gasses into the coolant, which is not a good thing. After sitting overnight, is your radiator line hard, or soft?

It is possible that when the injectors were done last, they didn't properly (re)seal the cups, and one or more has lifted.
