Recently I had the head gasket and injector's and the cups replace due to a coolant leak. I've now had it back for about three wks and it still loosing coolant. The top hose is not hard after run for awhile and I've bought a new rad cap also and if you take the cap off while running there is no bubbles in the res. tank. I'm lost anybody got anything?

did you check the weep holes at the water pump. My friend had his water pump go out and it would only leak on our lift. the pan under the engine would hold the coolant so it never dripped on the ground.

My first thought would be injector cup
however you say that the coolant tank isn't presurized?

Weep hole or perhaps a leaking coolant line to the turbo
I would check for external leaks and if that doesn't find anything then maybe take it back to the people that installed the inj.

Try preussize the coolant system and check for leaks that way

if a cup leaks bad enough it will the press can relive through the cup into the cylinder after shut down

Check the hard line that goes from the water neck to the top of the water pump housing. There is an o-ring that goes over the pipe and slides inside the bottom of the water neck. I believe it actually the front motor plate. But I have seen at least 3 trucks leak here. It will run down the front of the motor and be very misleading. Shine a light just beyond the fan pulley and look for coolant there.

the truck has about 145000 miles on it and i just talked with a guy form ATG manuals. He also suggested the EGR cooler but i' having no luck locating it. Also I just got back from a road trip. I drove about 80 plus for about 220 mile and had to fill the tank back up but on the way back I drop about 65 to 75 and got about 350 plus miles before filling back up. Maybe this will help

i did head gaskets on a lly last summer for coolant loss, no visible leaks underneath. once we had it back together the water pump started pouring out coolant. now that the top end is holding pressure it may have wiped out the pump. the next week link in the system. give it a look.

Check the Hard Aluminum heater line on the passenger side. Look at the bracket where it bolts to the alternator bracket. This tends to crack. Ive had to weld up 4 of these on different trucks.
