So trying to remove LB7 lower oil pan and one of the rear allen bolts that is recessed about 1 1/2 inch I was using a ball allen wrench and the ball broke off and trying to figure best way to remove bolt. Tried getting the broke piece out to no luck. Tried drill center out, but allen piece is harder than bolt or pan and drill keeps walking. Any suggestions!

Go buy yourself a punch set and some of these screw extractors.

Can you use a strong magnet on a stick and see if the ball comes out? Worth a try, at least.

Bleh, this is why I hate Allen bolts so much. If they don't strip out, something like this happens. I never have a set of Allen bolts go in or out without some major annoyance like this.

Get a pick on the corners and try to go around and around to wiggle it free

Tried wiggling the ball out to no avail. problem with drilling is cant seem to get the center punch to punch the center, the allen ball is hard steel. Tried drilling it out and drill kept walking to the sides. Came to work today and remembered that I have a Snap-on extractor kit that comes with drill guides, so will try that tomorrow night.

If you can reach it with a regular punch hit it couple times, its stuck because it was trying to strip right before it broke. It needs to turn back a little then will fall out..... prob can't reach it though
