lb7 injectors

help

so i have to do headgaskets in my lb7.. blowing coolent out overflow. i also have a fuel limp problem so im planing on doing injectors and cp3 while im in there. i found a set on dieselogic i just dont know if there items are any good i know to stay away from Pensacola. i would also like to know if doing the cat fuel filter is worth it i have a fass lift pump. heres the link to the injector and cp3 combo any info would be appreciated.. https://www.dieselogic.com/p-27-200...rmance-injector-super-set-deluxe-stage-1.aspx

Just get them from Lincoln diesel. No reason for the cat filter.

no need to google them lol if people say there bad i wont go with them ill go LDS. like i said they were my first choice and now there my only choice

you guys think %20 over are worth it or just got stock? i have edge evolution cts2 will be going efi live around summer as well as a bigger turbo

so deiselogic is out the door... going with LDS just curious now can i drop the %20-30 overs in and be fine or is there tuning needed on top of them? or should i just go with stock.

I'm going with SAC's for mine simply because I can't bring myself to roll the dice on another set of VCO's. If you can pony up the money, I would strongly suggest going that route.

i was looking at the sac but i dont think ill ever need 60 overs my power goal is arounf 500-600 nothing to crazy thats why i was looking at the 20-30s

You can run stock tuning. Just becareful with the 30s. They might limp a stock trans.

i have read online u have to change somthing with efi live to run bigger injectors. so at this point im just going to buy stock injectors

Merged the two threads into one.

Go with LDS. Try to save up a little longer and get the baseline SAC injectors. Are absolutely sure you have to replace both CP3 and injectors?

You should not have to retune anything for the sacs, but Brent is going to know more about that than most anyone.

Not positive I need them both but I would rather do them when I have the money and I'm already going to have the cab off and motor apart. That way I know there done. It's another $1000 on top of stock injectors for sac style Injectors and I'll never need that big of injector. Just thought I could throw a set of %30 over and be fine but guess not.

You can do that, too. I guess we're jumping on the SAC bandwagon b/c they are getting excellent reviews on longevity....moreso than the VCOs ever have. Thats good news to us LB7 diehards.

What makes you think you need a CP3 anyway? Testing you've done?

If you are taking the engine out and your budget allows consider anything that could be worn. I would check into a water pump as well. Its cheap insurance while you've got it out.

I wouldn't replace the CP3 at this point, especially if the budget is tight. Unless you have tested and found it to be bad, of course.

IMO anything less than 50% over is a waste of money. Stock injectors can run 500-600 HP just fine. If you want more than that, I'd go straight to 50% over or bigger.

Lots of people recommend SAC injectors because we believe they will last longer. However, SAC injectors on the LB7 are so new, their longevity isn't really proven yet. No one has had one fail, but we don't have enough miles to expect a failure either.

If it were me, and my budget was really tight, I'd get a set of stock VCO injectors from LDS. If you can swing it, skipping the CP3 and upgrading to SAC injectors might be worth it. The smallest SAC injectors are about 50% over, and you might need an EFILive tune with those.

I have never seen over 17k rail pressure. Pretty sure I need to do the cp3 that's with a fass 150gph lift pump. Is there a sure way to test cp3?

I'm doing water pump and all new rubber fuel lines as well. Also rebuilding my fuel filter head. Doing arp headstuds. I wanted to do exhaust and down pipe but might have to wait.
