Hey guys. Finally finishing my passenger injectors:D Had a few questions about the injector cup o rings. When I did the drivers side the sleeves pulled out and I replaced o rings. Didn't know if u had to do this or not but I like to. Now of course no dealership within 150 miles has o rings so Napa sold me a whole gasket set. I'll attach the link. Anyone use Napa o rings or are the GM ones special. I'm afraid that the ones in the kit aren't right so maybe take a look at the link and tell me what you guys think or if you have used any other type of o ring that worked. Thanks a lot.

I've always used the gm ones, but the dealer is a block away. Surely the nap ones will be fine

It doesn't have a breakdown of part numbers. I was worried if they're even the right thing. Do the orange o rings look right in that link? Cause I don't even know what all those other little ones are for.

Those cup o'rings should be fine, just remember to lock-tite the tips on the cups. The o'rings seal the coolant in the head, but the lock-tite seals the compression chamber. I like to install the cups and torque the injector down in one step and leave over night before running. The little o'rings are for the injector, not the cups.

Just making this clear that as long as you loctite, torque right and let sit over night, even if the sleeves pull out you don't have to replace o rings? Thanks

I have never NOT replaced an o ring on an injector cup. your already that far in, the time it takes to replace an o ring far outweighs the time it'll take you to tear it back apart

I am planning on replacing them as long as the Napa ones are identical. I believe they are. At least they look like it in the picture

I went from working at a GM dealership to an independent diesel repair facility. I'll vouch that those napa kits are legit compared to GM. They even come with four upper valve cover bolts just in case any strip out.
