LB7 fuel line clean up in the valley ??

Anyone come up with a more simple , clean , and easier way to work on fuel line setup on a LB7?? Just got my built long block and surely there is a better or more simple way to run the lines ??

Or has anyone moved them out of the valley etc? Truck is a daily driver so will have AC etc. I’ll be going with a single 12 or 14mm valley mounted pump .

Give me a few days to get home and I’ll take some pics of my lb7, just did entire fuel system re-plumb from tank to cp3 back to tank

This is what I did this last time around with my fuel lines. Zoom in and following the return lines, they’re all there, hooked up and plumbed back to the rear side of the passenger vc. And the feed line feeds directly to the cp3.

A little late to the party, but I used AN hard lines for my entire return line setup. Ended up using a flex line for the CP3 feed, but it hasn't leaked (noticeably) yet. Once it does, I'll put a hard line there too. I just didn't have the right size on hand when I assembled the motor.

I put a 45° AN fitting onto the CP3, then ran a -8 line up and out of the valley into a 90° fitting, and that finally connects to the stock fuel hard line on the motor. The stock hard line was actually 1/2" already, so we just put an -8 AN flare on it.

I didn't like the "T" in the return line in the first photo (hard to tighten/work with), so we re-did the return line slightly:

What did you do about the fuel temp sensor? Eliminate it?

Fuel temp sensor is a m12x1.50 I bought an adapter to go from m12x1.50 to 1/8 npt. I used a 6an fitting with a guage port to install it.

It is still there. The factory return hard line from the back of the left head about halfway forward is stock, including the fuel temp sensor and quick-connect for the outlet. I cut it off short and flared it to AN, then attached all my custom hard lines to it.

You can sort of see the AN connection where I cut off the factory line, just next to the fuel temperature sensor:

That all said, I am planning to use the factory temperature sensor input on the ECU to monitor oil temperature, rather than fuel temperature, in the near future.

dave, get a forward facing thermostat housing. thing will be just as easy to work on as any cummins engine lol

You cannot delete the sensor.
I repurposed mine as an intake temp sensor. I’m pretty sure I posted this info in another thread years ago when I did this.

I tapped threads in the bottom of the Wagler intake next to the npt ports. Now I capture the data via efilive too.
