I just picked up a complete Lb7 engine that had broken the crank at #2 journal. If the block is salvageable I plan to use it to build me a new motor to save the downtime. Since my motor is still running fine but I don't have any history on it I'd like to be ready. In the event the block is garbage I'll possibly part it out, what is the going rate for parting out these motors? Pistons and rods, heads, cp3, turbo, ect..... motor had fairly low miles on it in the 160k range.

Rods are paper weights. Might be able to get $200ish for LB7 pistons in good shape. Core out the heads, cp3, turbo. Not 100% up to date on core pricing but I was getting $350/pr for heads, $250 for cp3, not sure on turbo. Someone might buy it as a replacement for $200-$300 depending on condition. This all hinges on actually being able to move parts. Plenty of this stuff out there already.
