My 04 LB7 has a coolant leak after the engine has been shut off. Just replaced the water pump, but the truck has never been hot. It leaks from where the hoses meet the water pump and radiator. I have tried to tighten the clamps but it still leaks. Tried a new tank cap but didn't seem to change anything. Anyone have any ideas???

Did you replace all the hoses, or if you reused the old hoses, did you place the clamps in their original positions relative to the indentations they made in the hoses when they were first installed?

The hoses are new. I wish it was a case of morning wood, I would just beat it off and move on lol.

The out side (passenger side) of the heater core goes from a 8" or so rubber hose to a aluminum pipe and back to a rubber hose,The 2 welded brackets on the metal pipe will leak if you look at it funny.Might want to look there for a possible leak,Hope you find it!

I know where it is leaking from, what I do not know is why. I have tightened the clamps several times, it even leaks at times from the crimped connectors at the plastic t's in the middle of the lower hose. If it was a blown head gasket I could see it pressurizing when the engine was running and causing a leak. But it starts to leak about an hour after the engine is shut off.

Replace your hose with a good one. If you know where it is leaking & its coming from the t in the new hose then you must have a defective hose.
