I don't get the 'logic' on the pressure test on a cold truck at all! How is that accurate when the T-Stats are closed? I would NOT do that type of test if it was me.

Since you aren't seeing coolant leaking out of the coolant tank,a sure sign of headgaskets,I would for seventeen bucks try the cap. Also a sure sign of headgaskets is temperature fluctuations. You aren't getting that. Cup seals wone cause that although.

My truck was or had pressurizing issues, hard cold upper rad hose,but I wasn't losing coolant. I changed out the cap and THANKFULLY it was the problem!!

Yes the t-stat has to be removed in order for it to work, i thought i listed that but apparently i had a brain fart. Is it the best and most scientific way to test? No. Does it work? Yes
