IMO those should have been done before a few of those other mods. by newley built, do you mean that non-stock rods have been used?

in short, YES, larger injectors would be definately a good thing.

"Big CP3"...what does that mean? Wicked unit?

Still using a stock turbo, maybe stay around 30%.

more flow means more power/torque, more power/torque means easier possiblity of bending stock rods. It may run pretty good on a big tune for a while but how long? thats the question. Jsut dont be surprised if you wind up bendin a rod and have to go back into the motor again

Bigger injectors for sure. will help keep PW down and let the pistons live longer

Rods on a stock turbo or aftermarket turbo dont bend due to boost.

James is correct boost does not bend our rods IMO torque does... Trent went 9's on stock ported heads but you have already decided to use stock rods. Go with 30% or larger

I'm sure I started to bend my rods with my stock turbo. I dynoed 590/1100 with a stock motor just added dual fuelers. And ran the same times I did with the twins. Just kept bending them lol. What you spent on the heads I would have gone with rods but that's just me.

Spend your money on rods first...I dont see why you would spend your money of socal heads and cam before rods

Its actually pretty easy to bend stock rods with a big tune, even with a stock turbo. Been there done that, have the 8 paperweights to prove it.

You've been here long enough to know that if you're going to go for big power you have to build the bottom end first. So why spend on extras like those heads and cam first?

My guess is he bought used parts as they were available? Otherwise, it doesn't make a lot of sense to do. Unless he blew head gaskets & ruined heads & needed some replacements anyways?

Sounds like you're gonna try your hand in the local ws classes. It's tough & you're likely on the right track to go above & beyond typical tune & trans trucks. It takes more than that around these parts in WS.

I don't know if more air flow will make much more power when you're already air-limited in WS. I'd prolly do like Jake Fryman & go LLY/LBZ charger on the LB7. ;)

And I'd go about 60% over injectors from a reputable shop if at all possible. They're much more expensive to get balanced but better IMO.

Good luck.
