Sounds like a broken record, over and over and over i keep hearing about these DIY tranny builders that "get the job done" and yes you probably saved some money but nothing compares to having a trans. built by a Proffesional allison builder. Sorry for your trouble it really sucks man! Please tell your friends when they want to build there own trans to just pay a pro to do it.

Mine does it as well. I've ridden in 2 other trucks that also do it, and both of them had been built by professional shops. I've found that the 02+ OS in the TCM does it pretty bad, but I rarely ever get it with the 01 OS. Roll the windows up and you don't hear it either. I only hear it in mine with the windows down and driving in an area where sound can echo out from undeneath the truck and teh trans temp is in the 120-150 degree range. Also I found that the 680RPM idle speed made it less noticeable than my current 600. I've evn heard it in a 6 speed with just a JR in it. I just chocked it up to the nature of teh beast. Sort of like how my C2 doesn't prefill, along with another 01 with a built trans I rode in didn't.

well i deff agree if the engine speed is up it lessons the click. or flying up to a stop sign not giving it a chance to down shift gradually. wat does o.s mean?? lol with the windows up and nothing else on i can still hear it! but alot of ppl riding dnt cuz there not looking for it. i wish sumone had an answer, idk whether to pull her out and take her to sumone to completely go threw it or if itll last forever:confused:

OS= operating system in the TCM. With an 02 OS mine did the click REALLY badly, not so much with an 03, but with an 01 OS it hardly ever does it. I found opening the shift time WAY up with EFILIVE on the 2-3 lessened it alot in the 02 OS. I've been in several differrent ones now that do it. Clear the TAPS and it wil lgo away for a hundred miles or so and return.
