Sorry to hear that Travis:(. I hope things pick up. If only our leaders would cut taxes and regulations so we could once again be competitive with over sea markets....

After reading this thread I'm feeling very lucky. There isn't any talks of layoff where I work and we are short handed for AMT's. I work for a company that supports offshore oil exploration. When the price of oil goes up we get busy.

We have had some layoffs at Amgen. I have been fortunate to keep my job. I work as a "scientist in training" so biotech has been really uneasy in terms of people keeping stable jobs.

I work for DPP division of Caterpillar at the LEC(Lafayette Engine Center) plant in Lafayette,IN and we have let some of the temps go, but all full time CAT employees still working. We have five weeks off in the next five months, they froze all raises( two days before my raise) and froze most promotions. Glad I still have a job as of now, and feel bad for those hard working people that are without a job.

Found out today that there will be a whole week taken off in March now.:( And maybe some Fridays again.

On a brighter note I think I got them to pay for my CDL class so at least if this gets any worse I will still have that to fall back on.

Just not looking good at all.
