Went to Rapid Diesel's Dyno day and had the misfortune of going first, but I did pretty good. First run was 525.8 and 889.4:D and the 2nd was 534.5 and 934.1:thumb: I kinda got pissed because I spun my tires on both runs more so on the first and they wouldnt let me have a third but most manual dodge's got like 3 to 5 tries because of excuses:mad: I held the lead in the 550hp class all day and would have won but I got beat by a 05 dodge with a $25k motor and tranz by only 14 hp he ran 548.7 and 912.2( And he got 3 runs too!! the first 2 were high 400's:spit:) Pretty embarasing for a truck that was bragged up to be pushing 800-900hp. I got him in torque though:chevy:I'm happy I held 1st until the 37th truck out of 40 though I guess there's always next year . I'm happy with my #'s though! Thank you to everyone for your help and advice:thumb: P.s all 8 chevy's that showed up went well over 400hp and the unlimited class was won by an LB7 @ 792hp 1200 something trq

Did Craig put there shop truck on the dyno? What it run? What about Turk Walker?

The shop LLY was pretty badass, but it only put down around 780hp out of 4 pulls or so wich is good but it was Walker's LB7 that layed down the most all day @ 792hp!!!!:chevy:

You're not missing anything- PPE Standard on level 4( 225hp) PPE ported rail fitting, FPRV shim kit, Raptor lift pump, EGR blocked, Afe intake, 4" mbrp straight, and a Transgo Jr!! and a bottle of stanadyne in the tank. I was suprised too, I asked around and most people said that Rapid's dyno is accurate. They had guy's from all over the midwest there so They must have came all that way for a reason:thumb: P.S. I will post my run as soon as I can figure out how to download this sony handycam:mad: its pissing me off it wont recognize that the camera is plugged in the usb port and the software download wont go any further:confused:

If that's the case then everyone's #'s for the day are BULLSH#T!!!:mad: and Rapid Diesel's reputation and customer base is in check. The competition #'s were all with the correction!! and my power curve for the 1st pull say's max @ 526 & 889 so unless I'm blind there's my #'s!!!! I know they seem high , I was suprised myself but if the trend was it was reading higher #'s than usual than why did an lb7 with dual fuelers, 120 injectors, and the biggest single garret makes only make 601 WITH THE CORRECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a dodge with twins and nitrous only make 762 and Walker only make 792 with a boost leak!! If it's B.S. Than where is the Dyno that's BETTER ! Let me know where it is and give me some notice and I'll be glad to be there:D

a correction factor that increases your hp number from 450 to 526 is huge thats 76hp. What is your elevation? Im not gonna dismiss your numbers im simply saying not even PPE will say the Standard Handheld makes 526hp on a stock transmission.... Their Hot+2 should make that with a built trans. That's why dyno's are a waste of time unless you are using it to "dial" your truck in. Go to the track if you run 104-105mph then your track hp matches your dyno #'s... Could that number of been a shift spike?

The old Hot+2 was a decent 500-510rwhp tune. Very good for a mass-produced box. Dont know what their newer tunes put down.

Anyway, no matter what your numbers were, did you have fun?

I had a blast!! If the reality is that my numbers are lower than whatever I still held the lead in my class through 30 other trucks that didnt go over 550hp and out of 40 that showed up I'm happy! Rapid City is 3202 above sea level and if the Dyno is B.S. than why do people do it! If the track is the true test than I guess I have to beef the front end up because @ 8lbs of boost it likes to tear shit up I can just imagine what it will do with 10-15 or higher! There's a track about an hour and a half away, we'll go see what she runs!! P.S. If I ran so high with less than why did most run fairly low with more??? and There has been Higher #'s on stock Alli's they may not have lasted long but they still did it:thumb:

So far as a shift spike? WTF? Is that! I locked it in 4th and put it in tow haul went up to 65mph and put it to the floor! There was no down shift up shift or slip!
