Reading the article on the 2011 Dmax v/s Ford on the hill performance. Total ass kicking by the Dmax, no wonder Ford wouldn't sponsor them a truck. GM bought both of them. That's a hoot. Derailed my own thread...Sort of:D

I like the part of one of the drivers was the man who engineered all of the towing packages for ford for thelast 10 years and he still picked the chevy as the all around better truck

Josh It's an 08 LMM built and owned by Custom Auto in Idaho Falls. Runs a 4094 over a 4718 with water/meth and NOS and 34lpm injectors from II. Black, lifted big mother front bumber with a winch. And all the twin turbo pipes are wrapped including the intake and cold pipe. Very good looking truck if you like them with big meats and jacked up in the air. Not very attractive under the hood at all, and article says it make 1289hp on #2.

I have about the same built engine, bigger turbos and injectors plus a way better tuner and I know mine won't come close to those dyno numbers without a lot of correction and a very friendly dyno operator.:D SoI'm assuming the #2 only is a typo and those numbers are with NOS.;)

Id like to know who these Custom Auto people are??? Seems they fly under the radar for the most part, but sure know how to "advertise" their shop when they need to.
I have to admit I kind of snickered at the power numbers in the article, too...but its not out of DP's norm to print estimates as fact just to sell magazines.

Is anyone else tired of all the articles on $100,000+ trucks that nobody in the "real world" could build unless they sold their children or won the lottery???
God, to have the extra $$ those guys have (+that Blowermax artcle)

Caldwell , Oh
yeah blowermax is the truck that really caught my eye too. I hope they follow him to a dyno / sled pull / drag race and follow up with another article ( can you say Diesel Power Challenge ??)
