I made it out to the track one last time for the season. I have much to improve on my 60' times but for a 2wd I'm happy. There are a few good things in the plans for rear suspension setups and to move weight over the back axle to help plant it better so I can leave harder.

I wanted to make another run on my biggest tune but had a little coolant leak on the back side of the motor. So they asked me to leave. I was trying to reach that special 10.9 number!

Looks like I have to wait until next summer to make it happen.

Very nice, especially considering it's 2WD. It looks like it left pretty hard as is, what was the 60' time? Hard to tell in the video, but how much wheelspin? Slicks? What are the chassis mods?

Very impressive!

60': 1.9 :roflmao:

Not sure on wheelspin it didn't feel like much. Tires are 30x14x16 M&H cheater slicks. Coilovers up front and Caltracs in the rear no other chassis mods.

Thanks!

For 2WD, the 1.9 60' doesn't seem terrible, but I don't know what similar 2WD trucks run.

Of course every tenth you can knock off your 60' (or even 330') translates to even more than that in 1/4 mile.

I loved the "in truck" video :thumb:

I was cutting mid 1.7's last time at the track but slower times lol. So I have some work to do to get it all balanced out and I should clip off a few faster times yet. But not until next year when I reinvent the rear suspension in one way or another lol.

I sold Kory Willis some double adjustable qa1 shocks and he had CalTracs on his 2wd. Think after the shocks he was getting very consistent low 1.6x maybe. Think he was running the rebound all the way down so the front would lift easy and stay up. His 60's were very inconsistent before the shocks I believe

I had the Caltracs adjusted to add about 1" of height in the rear. Tires were at 15psi. They probably could have been down around 10 but this was my first time with these tires. When I was cutting 1.7xs The Ranchos were all the way stiff. This time was all the way soft but not being double adjustable they are hard to find tune. I think I can get to low 1.7 or even 1.6 but I need more adjustability and track time on a constant setup. Next year will be more fine tuning.
