Thank you for that! It's by the grace of God that we're here. I'll share a little testimony here about how God has revealed certain things to me.

2 years ago we were invited to the NHRDA world finals for the first time. We were pumped but 3 days before we needed to leave we toasted the transmission in the truck. I was bummed to say the least. I told my wife there's no way we can go. Then I remembered I had a clutch kit scheduled for delivery the next day. I talked to the customer & sure enough he was cool with us ordering him another set & we use this kit. While all this was happening I spoke with several people about how I wasn't sure God wanted us to go. One man told me something I'll never forget. "If God doesn't want you to go, you won't go. No matter how hard you try." We'll we went. The next event rolled around & there were obstacles but we always went.

Flash forward to this January. We invited to go on the Premier Performance dealer land cruise. My wife is a Canadian citizen & her passport was expired. We didn't have enough to renew it normally but called the Canadian consulate & got a direct number to speed the process. My wife ended up getting her passport renewed in like 10 days instead of 5 weeks. In all this I got proud. So much was going right I started patting myself on the back. Big mistake. There was heavy fog in Midland so our flight was delayed. We missed our connecting flight in Houston. My 7 year old son got a bad fever sitting in the airport & wouldn't eat lunch. Then we finally our flight but it wasn't direct to Puerta Vallarta. It was to Mexico City for another 6 hour layover. That's when we ran into a problem with my son & my passport. We spent the whole night in that airport with a sick child, no laces in our shoes (still don't understand that) & a communication barrier. No one there spoke any English! In the morning we went back to Houston. No toes in the sand for us. I believe this happened because I became proud. That was the first time I didn't get to go. That statement became real to me.

So like I said, it's by the grace of God alone that we are here at this amazing event with biggest & best guys in the industry while no one even knows who we are

Great testimony! Isn't God awesome in how He works? If we stop and think about it nothing matters except for Him. No truck, nothing we ever accomplish could ever do what He has done and continues to do for us. I am glad you shared this and I pray you do well and even if you don't it seams you have everything in order and understand that it is His will for whatever may be or may not be and everything is on His time.

I literally thought I'd never see a post like these 2. Glad that there are folks in the industry that still have the priorities in life in the correct order.

I keep telling myself I messed up leaving my job but then I have to remember the one he had planned is around the corner so I have to be patient. If that means selling the truck I guess that's just what he requires me to do. Took me a few years for this to really sink into my thick skull that it's a hobby and everything I've been given and done to it has been because of him. Once I realized that I quit stressing about stuff with it. Has helped immensely with my stress level that's for sure.

Now go kick some ass dude!

Really good reading about this on here. Dont see this to much on this forum. Everything is for a reason and God has a plan for everyone of us. God bless you and your team!

Made 2 passes before I hurt my front differential. Dynoed my 1200us tune this morning at industrial without loading the Dyno. Made 936hp with only 50 psi boost at 4000 rpm. Ran that tune & it feels great but my trans wouldn't shift. Peddled an 11.5 which I was ok with for my first ever pass on this setup. 2nd pass I left too hard & spun my right front tire hard. Pretty sure I damaged the slip collar on the right shaft.

Well it's safe to say the half ton front diff held its own longer than expected..

Still sucks though..

We swapped in a 3/4 ton 9.25 front diff. We swapped gears to 3:42 & made it fit. So yeah we broke a good one:eek:

Ahhh..

For being the little guy with 8 days to build a truck you guys did a hell of a job.

We have a lot to learn! Just being out competing with these guys makes us really wanna step up our game! The whole team can finally see what the proven race teams do to succeed. Look at Daniel Pierce. Fireball on Wednesday, staging lanes in Thursday. It didn't make a fast pass but they had the motor back in that truck in time to make a pass.

Another crew we met out here from NC is Midget Performance Diesel. These guys had the same exact time frame we did. They made 9 second pass after 9 second pass. There's no excuse for our truck not running better. I personally made a few bad decisions that I see now. We didn't have the spooling issues some guys did so if I would have had the rest of the driveline right it would have been awesome!

Those slip collars are junk I broke mine the second time I used four wheel drive. You going with a H2 axle?

I wouldn't say they're junk. I have never once broken a sliding collar. Mine is still the stock one too.

You guys were parked right next to us at RMR last night. Mine was the white CCSB GMC. I briefly checked out your truck, it is awesome! Very clean and well done.

I wouldn't say they're junk. I have never once broken a sliding collar. Mine is still the stock one too.

Thanks man! I recognized your truck there & asked for Mike a few times but you weren't by your truck when I was there. The slip collars are not the problem. The issue is the front diff being locked & launching too hard on a tire that wants to hook. Without the open diff it can't transfer the load so that collar takes the pressure. Like I said it was my fault it failed.

It's hard to find a converter that will let an S480 spool while still coupling hard enough to break all 4 tires loose but we found one that does. It's a Goerend LL. I was able to hold 3000 rpm at 30 psi steadily. I dropped to about 23 psi to launch & this thing hit like a shot from a gun when I launched! My new favorite converter:D

So you liked the LL over the 10531-3D . And why back off from 30# back to 23# for launching ? Did it 60' better leaving on 23# instead of 30# ?

I was able to hold 3000 rpm at 30 psi steadily. I dropped to about 23 psi to launch & this thing hit like a shot from a gun when I launched! My new favorite converter:D
I love Goerend converters! I'm hoping Dave will have some time to put together a spec list on all his converters with stall rating and K-factor sometime soon. I know he has that new dyno he's been playing with that gives him all that info. It sure would make it easier to recommend a converter for a specific application. I know he's been talking about doing it for a while.

I like the LL better than the 10531. The LL couples harder so when you leave it's more efficient for drag racing imo.

I never launched harder than 23 psi. My first pass hooked good & got me 1.6 60' leaving with 20 psi. I wanted to improve since this truck has cut 1.5s. 23 psi hit too hard & broke the truck. 30 psi & we would have been picking pieces up off the track. I'm telling you this thing couples!

At 20 psi my atmos where already lighting & they came in quick after that. That's all I need until I get the suspension setup better.

I know he's been talking about doing it for a while.

Yeah I didn't know much about this converter. Scott had it on the shelf used & offered to ship it with the truck. I'm glad he did!
