I just read that whole thread and if I remember right it's just a touch over 4500 lbs without driver.. That's an amazing build for sure..

Lol we had a major Cummins derail there.
Last season it weighed 5220 without driver. I'm not sure where it will be when it's complete. 10 bolt is coming out & a 14 bolt 9.5" is going in. Add the weight of the cage & turbo setup, minus the fuel tank. It'll probably gain a little. If we had more time & money I'd ditch the torsion bars & get coil overs but not right now.
Yes until the state inspection & registration expire in September. After that the dual hood stacks & 8.50 cage will make it hard to keep legal:roflmao:

Rolled up next to a new stingray today in my tahoe.. What I would have gave to have someone's sleeper rig to ruin his day.
Yeah I know the feeling. That's one thing I like about having stock exhaust on the tow rig. It has enough power to surprise people but it has no bark. It's kinda fun that way!
I was tempted to run it again in Ennis last week but decided the ole girl didn't need to break down right now.
The guy that was gonna install the cage this weekend bailed. Work is slow & a pipeline job came up that has them working this weekend. Can't blame the guy for that.
Plan B is we do it ourselves this weekend. The guys are on board & very capable of doing the work. We just had other things planned. Truck should be back around midnight tonight so I'll wait up. Taking it by the machine shop in the morning so they can get the measurements to build the rear sub frame/sled pulling hitch. Adapters are on the way to convert to 8 lug so I can run the dually wheels with dirt tires Scott has. This is getting fun!

Truck got back Friday at 2:00am. Stripped it completely today. Pulled the engine, Trans, transfer case, fuel tank, harnesses and all the interior. Got the main hoop of the cage in & rear bars to frame. The biggest time killer was all the wires when we pulled the dash. We're running the front bars right next to the windshield so everything had to come out. With a little luck we'll get the cage done & interior back in the truck Monday. Probably gonna keep 2 guys on this truck 14-16 hours a day next week to get it done. I'll be there every minute I can to keep the morale up. I really think we can pull it off but it won't be easy.
