I'm back home... Dang it hot out there. Car ran like a top. Feel sorry for those people that over heated on the way out there. I think I counted 10 vehicles sitting on the side of the road on the Baker grade

Do they still have the round tanks filled with water by the highways? It's been a while so maybe I'm thinking of the wrong grades?

And to think, when I moved here from SD, I ran that hill at 70 mph with an 11k trailer behind a 10k truck with the AC on in the middle of august.... think 120* outside. THAT is why I love my dury. :D Cajon pass is similar but nowhere near sa long as Baker.... That is a mf'ing hill.

Yes they do.. Had to mark them all since its non-potable water and illegals were drinking out of it and getting sick.

I was doing about 150km/h up that hill empty and was heating up. I had to slow down...

Maybe it was because my Chevy isn't used to that kind of heat. Its more accustomed to the minus 50 temps.

LOL. You can keep that minus 50 stuff. Mine got hot too, but not overheating. It's a pretty impressive piece to climb.

If I would have been pulling anything I would have been reduced to about 60-70km/h.

I recall seeing atleast 7 jeep grand cherokee's between salt lake city and L.A. broken down on the side of the road. Pretty sure 5 out of those 7 were between the L.A. side of the hill and vegas. They(dodges) must not like the heat either...
