Kyle made a couple test hooks at Loudonville on Wednesday. He is the second truck in the vid, then again at the end. Somebody said his air shutoff closed during the second run. Nice to see a Duramax mod truck out on the track.

Anyone know if it's still HPCR or did he go mechanical? Be the smoothest running mechanical truck I've ever seen if so. lol

Guessing it's a triple charger setup as well? Seems most, if not all, of the mod trucks are triples these days.

Seems like it's going to be a beast once sorted out. Be curious to see the longevity of a max at that level! And even more so, his engine setup if it does last. ;)

Me too, must be extremely heavy in the front

More like all the weight is in the front didn't you see them push the truck over to stage it they practically lifted it off the ground. Looks like there is nothing back there including sheet metal.

The extreme weight transfer to the front is common on Mod trucks. I read somewhere that Haisley's new truck has 300lbs of rear weight and 7700 on the front...I may have the exact numbers wrong, but it's in the ballpark.

WTF!!

That was about the only exciting thing I saw!

Can't he steer it? Not much of a test run(s). Maybe some day it'll be impressive. That Black Diamond truck was hauling ass.

Im sure handling the steering wasnt a problem, it was probably the steering itself that messed up. When not using a common set up, im sure it takes a bit to get it worked out, considering 80% of mod trucks are probably just built at scheids or haisleys with all of the same parts. Knowing Kyle he has a different set up on there... he had a big turbo and 2 cp3s long before anybody else had even put a larger turbo on. About the time everybody caught up to that, he was running 3 cp3s. Hes been on the leading edge of power and set up with the duramax since people have been pulling/racing them. His social internet skills arent the best, he is a smart ass, but i give him credit for the $hit he tries. It would be nice to see a mod duramax compete... at this point money isnt going to get that done....

Not to mention I'm sure he is running triples and when turbos that big light they can be violent which will only make a steering issue worse. I have been pulling a while and I bet I wouldn't be able to get that truck off the line let alone keep it in a straight line. I wouldn't be so quick to talk down on him or his truck.

i could only imagine that steering wheel would be hard to hang onto. any idea on a hp and torque number?
