I am looking to buy a Medium Duty 4500. I have test driven both air and spring suspensions. Air is nice but more maintenance and more $. Are there options to make a spring suspension ride better? I know I can add weight, remove some leaves... It will never ride like my HD2500, but I do want to smooth it out. Thanks.

Air ride compared to spring ride IMHO is night and day in the kodiaks. I have put 2 kits on our 3 kodiaks where I work and I love them. Once you put a few thousand lbs in the bed they ride great.

They repalce the rear most cab brace that ties the 2 main frame rails together, and relocate the bumpstops. There is also another crossmember with bags in the middle of the cab as well.

Brian, Where did you get the kits?
