iirc the fuel temp is messure in the fuel filter.
as pat said its on the return line Adam its the last sensor before it leaves the engine bay
Just for info.
Our Kodiak motorhome threw a CEL while it was running hot (240-250°) up a long steep hill. 4,700 mi. Air temp was about 110° F.
First code was P0495 Cooling Fan Speed. Engine data seemed normal.
Second code was P2563 Turbo Boost Control. 3 times it failed. Third time:
Fuel Temp 221° F???
EGT 899°
Desired vane pos 21%
Actual vane pos 45%
RPM 2114
Coolant 224°F
mm3 fuel 101.
Note: Kodiaks have Electronic Engine Exhaust Braking from the factory with a dash mounted switch to turn it on and off. I had it on. They also have manual DPF Regen via another switch on the dash. Regen was not active at the time.
Odd. 221 deg fuel temp?
Perhaps the fuel is being heated by the radiator water? Guess I have to learn about Kodiaks.
the fuel temp is high Pat? mine can stay close to ambient without towing
as Mike has said it's a issue and i believe it
your truck has now switched from runniing mode to hot fuel mode and is runnning in a different tune IMO obiously due to the load BUT SAD
granted you allready know this and have seen from the logs that timing has changed and effected the ride
