Looks sweet Jeff. We don't do the TPA trips anymore but I think I will definately make it to the left coast of Fla this fall/winter.

My wife was hinting about getting a Supra. She has always liked them. Turbos are a bit too pricey though, how hard is it to pump up the power on a N/A model?

Couple things...

First, those cars ARE sweet!!
Second, what's it take to "build" one? Cost and what parts are needed? Power afterwards? how reliable? how streetable?
Third, 700rwhp just from throwing a turbo on an N/A engine? What kind of turbo? How reliable is it at that level on a stock engine?
Forth, just for $hits and giggles... what's one get for fuel mileage on a stock N/A one, a turboed one, and then finally, a "built" one?

Thanks for sharing and keeping things shook up. It's alright to see something a little bit different on here from time to time. :D

turbo/manifold(duh) upgraded fuel system stand alone engine management (AEM), stock n/a engine is very reliable with a proper tune, and also with the proper tune off boost "normal" easy driving you will see 24+ mpg

Also to add to Mitch's questions, obviously the man trans is desired, but how good are the autos. Autos are easier and cheaper to come by.
the n/a autos are crap, but if you get an auto from a turboed car (either supra or JDM aristo) those can be built to take in the 800 rwhp range if i remember correctly, there are a few people that swap in the th 400 or the real high hp guys use a 2sp power glide, there is someone working on swaping in a L480e. supra forums is your friend!

i used to be obsessed with those cars. sold them all off, though.

i'd get "ricer" from a lot of people at the track, but they shut up after i beat their ass and chirped the tires after every gear change.

nice looking ride man

One of my good friends ran a turbo Supra for years. Looked very clean and stock, and ran high 11's. ~425rwhp.

It would be interesting to run 45 PSI of boost and methanol through one of them. You need to double the amount the of fuel. Perhaps make 1500HP at 8000.
