Killed a LBZ last night.

I'm running the McRat race tune in my LMM, on a stock trans.

LBZ kept up till 4th gear, then I strolled him BAD and I never checked up. Speedo was pegged at 120 for a good 15 secs. How the hell is my trans still alive

Cool deal. I just installed my 1054 3d yesterday. The build is Suncoast Gmax 6R with Mike L psi spring and 1 shim. Also have converter flow valve mod ditching the ball and adding new spring. Mike L Trim valve and shift valve spring mods. Trans is nasty with awesome upshifts downshifts any shifts lol. The 1054 converter couples amazing quick on a stock turbo Lmm. I would definetly recommend this converter if you are gonna do a similar build.

These allisons hold up.. I have 265k miles on mine and she hasnt limped yet, i probably dont abuse it like others here do though. Good kill though, what mods on the lbz?

Sadly, I'll never see the inside of my trans. I'm getting a built unit from SunCoast.

I've never been impressed with the lbz, my cousin has one, stock for stock my LMM would walk it every time. Same trucks...

You sure your cousin doesn't have the 06 LLY? I've seen a LBZ and a LMM tied up pretty much. The 06 LLY stock against the LMM doesn't stand a chance.

Isn't 06 lbz with lly tuning 305hp. 06-07.5 lbz 310hp. And 07.5-10 lmm 365 hp? Stock trim I'd guess the lmm would for sure take the lbz

The 06 lly is 310 hp. The 06 lbz is 360hp. The Lmm is 365hp. I am just joking around hopefully nobody takes it the wrong way. Hell they are all great trucks they are duramaxes!

My dads stock lmm was a slug, I could walk it pretty easily with my lbz when it was stock. Still ran better than a Powerstroke!!
