So, my sister bought a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer a couple of weeks ago. It didn't come with remotes for the keyless entry, so they bought some online. They had trouble getting them programmed and took it to the dealership. The dealer couldn't get them programmed either and told them they didn't have keyless entry installed.

I realize this isn't even a full size pickup related question, but I'm hoping someone here can answer it for me. What would I have to do to get the factory remotes they bought to work? Is there some module I can install or something that can be reprogrammed with a Tech II?

Yeah Poltergiest is right, you need the correct number key fob, then a Tech II to prgram.

I just had the dealer program a fob for my 2000 silverado, it was one number off ( difference) from my original fob but still worked.

Maybe a trailblazer owner could give you their key fob number.

They bought them on some website that sells them. The ones they bought are what they listed for their vehicle. I did a little checking last night after I made this post and found out if your vehicle doesn't have keyless entry you can get the BCM and lift gate module reprogrammed to get it to work. Sometimes I guess the LGM has to be replaced.
