Really only need that for the older trucks were you had to remove the valve covers and rocker boxs,The newer trucks they come right out for you.

matt I have never come across a duramax injector that didnt come out with a good yank and wiggle. even LB7's. Only a couple have I had to use a big screwdriver. Ive never had to use the tool. I have the tool and can let you borrow it if you really want to, but I think you will find they come right out.

Nah don't need it if they come out, I just saw the tool mentioned in another post and figured i would need it.

Are there any Kent Moore or other specialty tools I WILL need for removal or re installation?

not that I can think of. I assume whoever is building the motor (I think you said Guy is?) will be installing the flywheel and front/rear main seals for you, so you wont need that tool.

I cautiously used one of my injector lines as a handle on 1-2 of mine, which were stuck in LB7's but as new as urs is i bet they'll pull right out:D

matt pulling the engine is not that hard. ;) Go to the dealer and have them print out the instructions from SI, and its easy if you follow the steps. With someone helping you it should not take longer than 6 hours or so. Hardest part IMO is sneaking it out with the AC condenser still in the way. Unless you have an AC evac/recovery machine.

Who recovers?!? :D I know some people who bust AC lines open with serpentine belts just for shits and grins.

Ya ac condensor is already removed ;)

Im most worried about just having a huge pile of parts and wires and not knowing wtf to do with them once i need to put it back in. Trying to take lots of pics, labeling all wiring connections and bagging/tagging bolts etc.

Im going to make a strong attempt to have the motor on the hoist by Sunday.

Just got approved for a Chase Platinum credit card  ....... well see how much its for when it comes.
