I keep blowing the Cigarette lighter fuse in Wendy. I thought it was the actual lighter causing it, so I threw that one away and stole the one out of Casper. Lasted 2 weeks and fuse blew again :(

Any ideas what could be causing it? or should I take it to the dealer?

PS- To all the smart bottoms, the answer is not for me to quit smoking :frog:

Kat, I had the actual socket short one time. The insulation between the B+ and B- melted or crapped out. Truthfully, I think the lighter lodged in place one too many times.

I replaced the socket and use a propane lighter. lol....

Hope you fix it.

It's probably the socket. Ashes will get in there and easily cause a short. IF the dealer likes you, it's warenty, if not, it's abuse.

Simple look to the bottom of the socket wil reviel the ashes.:)

I think the ash idea or it's shorted are good answers. Of course there's always the "stop smoking" answer too :D

Look in the socket and at the lighter itself. Both probably have alot of build up. Just swap the socket out with Casper's too. :D

Can Casper still compete as street legal without the cig lighter?

Also in parts of Canada here, they are making it illegal to smoke if there are children in the vehicle with you, and you cannot smoke in a company truck in Alberta as it is considdered a business and you are not allowed to smoke inside a business here, or any other public place. This includes 18 wheelers.
Really Lame if you smoke.Myself I just keep breaking the law.

Effective Jan 1, it is illegal in CA to smoke with children in the car.
