Yippie! Furnace died yesterday! I think ignitor or ignition module went cafluee.
8* last night for a low, 25* today for a high. Just another balmy January day in Meechigan.
But thats always when they die, right? When you need them most.

Surprisingly, the house didnt get below 60* last night, buts it sure is chilly in here right now. Im just sitting here next to a small space heater waitin on the repairman......

that blows, know the feeling.

We lost power a yr or 2 for about 16 hours in 10 degree weather with 20 mph winds. And having a electric only house, the fireplace sure got a workout.

Im just bored outta my mind, cant go anywhere b/c they said "late morning, early afternoon". Dog is looking at me like, "What are you doing home?" I need a beer.

Wife says to me yesterday, "Tom, the furnace is blowing cold air". So I go over to the Tstat and look -- it reads 68* and "heat on". Blower is running. Uh oh. Go into basement, look thru the spy hole at the burner....no flame. Shit. Now Im thinking about the $$$ that will be flying out of my wallet soon. :roflmao: Looking online, ignitor is $170, ignition module is $397, plus the service call fee ($90) and labor (who knows $$). Please let it be something simple....

Ah well. After 17 years of trouble free service, I guess it had to happen some time. Cant say Im disappointed in ArcoAire. Where the heck is that repairman? Where is my beer? Damnit dog....get away from that bottle....

Tom be glad it didn't happen on thurs or fri going to be a high of 7 here and -17 low by the end of the week so id imagine its gonna be a little cooler for you guys east of the lake.

We have heat! :thumb: It was a bad igniter. $246 total. He even showed me how to replace the humidifier media.

Are you saying th transformer that sits on top of the burner? Or something different?

Glad to see you got IT going I had my share of an issue last year

I know exactly how you feel. Got to work this morning to a dead furnace. It got down to -12* here last night and only up to 14* at the high. Making for a really long day at work. I could use one of those beers.

Just watched pinks today at Stings shop and it was in chandler arz. Is that a high elevation track? It was 28* this mornin and 36* today. I was cold but its been in the low 60*'s the last few days.
