this really sucks i did the same thing. only it removed the tranny more than twice to get it figured outn

Even though this should be a no brainer make sure you get the gaskets on the bell housing and pump cover plate on in the right order. I never took the plate off and left the old gasket on the bottom and flipped the new one over and installed it on the wrong side.:screwy: Well pulling the tranny out twice in the same weekend suks azzzzz.

go slow and think about how things move during the build. I made a piece of angle iron that bolted against the transmission housing and used a deep socket on each side to compress the C2 and C3 assembly and get the snap rings in and out. I used a little grease to hold the check balls and springs in the spools but they say use petroleum jelly.Mike L knows almost everything about these mods;Mike is the man.
