I just got the efi live and could use some help just getting started for now I need to disable a egr, the egr cooler went bad so it has been removed and now I need to shut off the cel (egr) and the P0101 is coming up from a A/M intake, so I would like to take care of that also.
If someone would please help just to do that it would be great.
I have no idea what to do, I get the idea and concept but to start just need info on how to hook it up, where to click and what to punch in.
THanks

Read some forums and figure it out. There is plenty of info on how to tune if you look for it.

Plug your controller into your truck and your laptop. Then open efilive into your window. You will have to go through all of the registration. You should have got a card that will have all the info. Once that is complete you'll see on the top of the screen an arrow that when scrolled across says read calibration. Click on it and follow the instructions. Select your ecm license it to your vin and agree to the terms, then click start I think. Once its done turn your key off and click ok. Then save it in a good place. Then open your tune up and you can make the changes needed.

Mine didn't open the way it seems like it should, or not like the tutorials show, or maybe I just did it wrong. I'll keep reading.

I did what was said and it says it wont configure, so I went into v8 and it configured and then sent me back into v7.5 and when I click on the arrow it does the same thing again.
I must be missing something.

For some reason when I updated it and did all that it did not update the cable to the software or whatever but I got it to work.

I went in and just shut of the EGR system, is that all I have to do

I have been getting maf codes also, I didn't want to shut it off without knowing what I'm doing so anyone have any suggestions.

Or just tell me exactly what to do to make sure I wont get codes from the intake or egr system

Well is the intake bigger than factory? Not sure what you meant by "A/M intake". Might want to look for intake leaks and make sure the sensor is still good before you try and bypass an actual problem. If all checks out, you will have to rescale the MAF table. Dont ask me how because I havent done that before, I just used an LBZ table, not sure if Mark changed it when he tuned it or not...

It would help to list ALL the codes it is throwing, and then put them into the search function.

Only code I got so far is the P0401 EGR code, so apparently I either didn't get it shut off or I turned off the wrong thing or need to turn something else off.
