Did you ever get a boost gage installed in the charge pipe to see what the second turbo is doing ? you need to know the boost # so you can see if the gate is working properly .

I am working on it, I will probably get one loaded up sometime this week.

But my problem is not whether or not the big turbo is lighting, it is mainly spool up time. Because it takes forever to get the going after my converter locks up. I hit 1200 degrees cruising today going up a hill...unloaded

I know its been said before, but you really need to get drive pressure and boost pressure between the turbos gauges....once you do that you will be able to troubleshoot it in about 2 seconds.... Theres really no way to find the problem without knowing that data.

Alright, thought I would throw an update out here...

What a difference tuning makes

Here are my problems, in case anyone else does the same stuff I did.

1) Tuning! MAF limiting table was maxed out...no I did not know what I was doing and it worked DECENT for a single but was definitely not where it should be. So I put it back to stock and bumped it up about 40% or something and then smoothed it out. Also, I dropped timing down, down low. I think this is probably gonna contribute to the biggest difference. What a difference this made!

2) Even after I got the wastegate seat in there, it was the wrong one or just a bad one or something, so I got a different one, and that completely sealed it up.

I pressure tested the system and found a boost leak I need to fix and also came across some soot through one of my welds on the hot pipe. So I think once I get those welded up and fixed, then this thing will definitely come alive.

I am still having some trouble getting the boost to come up at 55-60 mph right after the converter locks. So I am guessing that I probably just have to log that, and drop some timing there.

I got my second gauge on and the 480 actually ends up coming on line when over all is at 10#'s. And it doesnt matter what RPM that is. It hits pretty hard when that come up...a lot of fun!

Can someone tell me how I can tell when my wastegate opens? Can anyone tell me how to get them lit a little better after my converter locks?
