Allison 5sp: Just buy Suncoast C3 and C4 clutches

I have a friend who just needs C3 and C4 clutches/etc and from Suncoast

Has anyone ever bought just these items and not the whole suncoast kit before, in other words, not the C1 and C2 clutches and transgo kit, converter, and basically everything else that one would expect to buy

I'm trying to find out if he's better off financially buying these separate or just buying the whole kit over again w/o a converter

Just build his tranny completely. He was given the shift kit and C1 and C2 clutches by a local transmission shop who for some reason had it laying around. I dont know why.

I'm just trying to help somehow

What will most likely happen is he will get tired of pulling pieces together and just commit to driving to suncoast and letting them take care of it

Correct me if I'm wrong he will need the pressure plates also. I would just buy a kit. Not gonna save much on the parts. Then he will know he has a good kit

Yeah I meant with the pressure plates and what not.

I figured it was too complicated to buy the "missing" parts but figured I'd ask, probably shouldnt have wasted the forum space haha

I'm just going to convince him to let Suncoast do it completely
