Actually the "powers that be" in California are the public employee unions. They pretty much run the state government and normally get anything they ask for, and do not answer to anybody. If your state has public employee unions, you too will see similiar problems in time. CA was one of the first states to allow collective bargaining for government employees, and now we are paying the price.
You created a thread or posted in a thread regarding GM as a crappy car sales company. You offered some good advertising a free rate. One of your questions was how can GM be failing. Well seems the unions as a whole have been to blame in both situations? I believe I leave Texas if we had to deal with this same public employee union....
