I have cheated on the a/c door actuator with good results-takes patience though! You can get to it from the drivers side by the gas pedal, I used a 5.5mm wobbley and a short one with a small ratchet-you can reset the doors by pulling the ac/heater fuse and the hvac fuse for about 1 minute then just turn the key on and wait for at least 40 seconds for the whole thing to reset then start it up and hit "auto". They can be a pain but a few hours of patience is alot better the 6-8 hours of removing the dash:(

Did you remove and replace the actuator or does reseting it fix the problem?
