For the past two weeks I have been seeing white smoke out the exhaust and strong raw fuel smell. Typical injector issue was my thought and have been saving pennies for a injector change. Buy checked the oil the other day and it was lower than I had ever seen it but still on the stick. Topped it off and 3 days later (today) I checked the oil again and its low once again.

I let the truck idle and opened the oil cap to see if I saw smoke and I see constant faint smoke coming up the filler neck and also hear a decently loud "tink tink tink" consistent with idle speed.

Also have a lot more smoke today. Blackish at stop and white/blueish under throttle.

Could I be in for a lot more than injectors?

I have only seen/ smelled the symptoms for maybe 5k or less. But I have seen more sut on my bumper over the last 6 months.

That tink is totally normal. I have thread on hear about the same noise from like a year ago. I think its because the cam and cp3 are gear driven. A little smoke is normal too.

To condense my post earlier. The tink is totally normal, find another duramax and listen too it, the smoke is bad injectors, put a new set in and run strong for another 207,000!

I have a guy here locally that has some for $1200. That's the cheapest I can find them and still tight on budget.
