I used to have a 89 f-250 that was a 250 in every area except the gutless inline 6 300 followed by the five speed behind it, it was useless on the highway especially with the 33"s I had on it but in 4 low and in 3rd gear it could uproot a tree it was straight front axled and everything and the vin matched what it was supposed to be.

My aunt had a late 90s Toyota 4 Runner Limited SR5 offroad with a stick. Every dealer she ever spoke with said there was never a 4runner limited built with a 5 speed. She would drive it there to show them and not a single one of them could find the shift knob, leather boot, and surround that her truck had. She literally might have had the only one ever built with that configuration.

Friend in high school had a 94 or 95 Chevy rc/sb Z71 with a 6.5 5 speed. Only one I've ever heard about or seen. His brother bought it new off the lot. He said he got a great deal on it because no one wanted the manual.

I had a similar ordeal with my 94 S10 blazer. It was the last square body and the truck that year was the new body. Mine was a 2wd 2 door with the 4.3tbi and a 5 speed. I don't know if its because the world is full of idiots or what but I had the hardest time getting correct parts for that. Later on it got a 355 tbi with a crane cam, t56 trans, 8.8 rear end, rear disk, C5 vette front brakes. I miss that thing. Was my dd like that for a couple years then bought a house.
