LB7: Is this a potential problem?

04 LB7 running a EFI live 30 hp tow tune. On a hard pull where it has to downshift, it flares about 300 rpm when going into 4th, I try to manually downshift before the load pull gets too hard.
The up shifts are fine.

5th gear is weak on the 5-speed you shouldn’t tow anything in 5th unless it’s light and flat road on a stock trans. Put it back to stock and see if it’s still flaring.

Not in lock-up with a stock trans. Do some searching before you blab this shit.

The tunes are for SAC 45 injectors. 15-30-50-75-100

The converter unlocks on the 5-4 downshift then re-engages. Maybe that’s what you’re feeling?

If that's what it is, that would explain it.
Because the up shifts into forth are good.
Would there be codes if it has too much slip on a shift like that?
