Seriously what's wrong with doing burnouts

How can I tell if my locker is messed up? Jack rear up and spin one? What should the other do? Reason I ask is I've been suspect of my locker for sometime in the burnout box it only ever spun one tire. Last night I tried a burnout and right away both spun and then the driver side unlocked and only the passanger side spun. Time for a new locker?

Paint are you positive it came with a locker from the factory? Usually once they lockup in a straight line they don't unlock unless you hear the big bang! I put a eaton unit in my first truck and it was awesome! It came with a one year warranty and I tried breaking it!! Went through two sets of rear tires and was still working flawlessly. Unlocked around corners and could pull trailers nicely with it.

If you pull the cover off inside were the spider gears are theres a little shaft and a small wave looking gear. In the 3 units i've broke one or the other were destroyed leaving a pile of shrapenal (SP? sorry) in the bottom of the axle housing. Every one of them i've broke had a huge bang noise followed by the dreaded fck you im not unlocking until you take me out and fix me lol. Im sure though if it isn't broke and totally worn out it could unlock like you have experienced.

Mine is the same way and has been for a while. Works when it wants too. Seems like it made it worse when I changed the fluid. Can't put the truck sideways anymore, just ends up burning the inside tire.

I think I'm gonna go with a Detroit True Trac

yes your g80 is shot. if you keep doing that, you could blow it up so be warey
