gotcha. just didnt know if u order a stage IV if it is specific to WOT from dead start or if you are doing WOT in ur last gear, which would b 5th for me. Or if you like racing while on the highway, would Mike do something different to his stage IVs. Just learnin

the c-3 oiler is 2 lines that install off of the pressure test port and go into hollowed out bolts for the PTO covers that spray oil on to the C3 clutches , and yes there is not enough lubrication on the c-3's when we start racing and running them so hot .

i saw black rings on my c-3's after only 4-5 mounths of use before i got the oiler . i really think the oiler is the only reason my trans is holding the kind of power it is . definatly money well spent if your dong your trans .

Thanks for the heads up Trent.

Yes Mike makes "tweaks" to his installs. You being in Texas I would say for sure to make the trip to see Mike L.

SO, if on the HWY and you want to punch it, drop to 4th first if time permits? With the kit, total bolt on and no fluid loss? Looks simple as pis to install by replancing a couple bolts.

Mike said it was only for drag racing. Any benefit to keeping things cooler when towing or not an issue?
Anyone know how the C1,2,3,4 are used for what gears? I.e. 5th is C3 and C1 or something? Figuring if I pull hills in 5th pretty hard, will this make a difference in longevity or not. Looks too simple not to do unlike pulling crap apart to install. 15 minute install?

I did my trans about a year ago, just to tow some trucks to races. Must have had it wrong, I did, C1 and C2 which I thought was 4th and half 5th, the weakest point....or so I thought. Thoughts Mike???
