I just bought a 68mm stg2r turbo for my lly. Im doing manifolds and up-pipes also with it. My question is since i have access to the cp3 would you guys recommend and lbz FPR? Or maybe a cp3 bag o parts from industrial? Im gonna stick with stock fueling for a while but if it would be worth my while ill do it. Even if the wallet wont agree haha

If its a healthy pump leave it be. More fuel equals faster boom...

Bag O Parts is a scam, lbz fpr will raise fuel pressure but probably not worth the money or effort in the end. I would raise your shift points a few hundred turns to keep that 68mm in its happy zone and go have fun with it untill you get numb to the power and you need more...:D

Alright yea i was kind of leaning this way too. Current cp3 holds rail just fine and im running a race plug in the rail. 230k miles on the truck and no idea if its the original cp3. Im assuming it is. After this charger and fresh tunes ill just leave it the way it is until i build the engine then add fueling. As far as changing the shift points would this be done solely though tcm tuning? Im running matt misers old built Allison with a 1058 convertor.

A pump would be a good upgrade even with stock injectors but the money could be spent else where. It's your choice.

Just curious to all the bag of parts haters and nay-sayers... What do you think a sportsman or cp3k pump is? Lol

If it says exergy on it they're quick to pump it on here, whether they have experience otherwise or not!

My advise to OP, save the money. This truck thing never ends. Got a nice parts list already.

My thoughts are with that stage 2 68r that the upper rpm Fuel will be falling off...

With the miles your pump has, I would put a sportsman pump or (stock stroke) modded pump....won't deliver a bunch more bottom end Fuel like a 10mm would, but will Fuel harder above 3000 rpm....

That being said, do I think he needs it, probably not, but a matter of preference. But if he can hold 26,000 psi at 3000us+ duration vs 21-22,000 at same duration, it's gonna make more power!

I have a 225,000+ mile LLY customer that on a 3000us tune was only holding 21,500-22k psi... I performed my own bag of parts mods to his cp3 and ported his fuel rail fittings, and his truck would hold 25,500-26,000 on exact same tune. I performed these mods while it was tore down for head gaskets, I think the Modded Cascade valve makes the biggest difference, but that and drilling out the ports to the gear pump/lift pump. And I left his factory LLY regulator alone, and it still helped!

I replaced one of our stock lbz pumps halfway thru this season and it seemed to make more power and rpm. We already run rail psi well beyond what a lly sensor reads, do not sure. but like matt said, the pressure its running above 3000 rom should improve greatly. Which we're always above 3000 rpm so it makes sense.
