If you ran a [email protected], it didn't slip. You will gain some by doing the trans, but thinking you will gain 3-4mph and 4-5 tenths when you didn't limp to begin with is.....well, let's just say the Easter bunny has already come to town.....time to start unbolting a lot of shit.

It def did slip going into 5th for sure, but i guess i wouldnt know if it slipped

Here's the problem. What happens though, is we get used to the power and want more.

If it slipped enough for you to notice, I would bet it would have gone in to limp mode.

If it is a tuner only truck, the SCIII will be more than enough IMO. But, on the other hand, if your talking $4-500 diff for a IV and you may want to keep upgrading like Pat said once you get the bug, then I'd go with the IV. I had a SCIII/1056 and couldn't beat the deal I got on another IV Fleece built with a 1057 that was getting ready to be traded in so I upgraded.

As for ATS, my brother had enough trouble with his that we will never put any purple parts on our trucks again.

Im simply saying what about when he wants more power? It will prob happen like it did for the rest of us. He would have to drop the trans and get more partsinstalled. Doesnt matter, he is getting the IV anyway.

Im not putting words in anyones mouth. A tune only truck can make over 500hp.

Im not going to dive into this debate but I will say to upngone make sure you get a reputable tuner. A shitty tuner can trash the toughest of transmissions.
