Is a Fass 260 Overkill?

I bought one to put on my race truck and now I'm wondering if it may be too much. Before the build I was running dual Kennedys. Loved the pumps. Super quiet. But after a lot of reading came to the conclusion that they wouldn't be enough for 1000whp+.

Will I damage anything? Pump wear out prematurely?

No because your supply pressure should be the same or close to it. It can just keep that pressure with a higher rate of flow.

I have a class 8 AD260 and haven't had any issues feeding two pumps. Just upgraded motor to the new 4G they have. It's so quiet I have to look at the gauge to see if it's working.
