can you look up what to have for dinner???? :D

Well I never really gave much thought to needing my phone to look for dinner but I took a quick look in the android market and downloaded an app that pops up every food joint in my town and with one tap of the screen pizza hut answered the phone...

I don't know how much easier an iPhone could do it than that.

I didn't mean to start a phone war I just wanted to know what made them so much better because from the friends I know that have them I don't see any huge advantage to them. Just seemed like the same things with a different approach.

Sorry, my phones have been jailbroken since beta support comes out :) guess mine do not apply... Compare the graphics/smoothness/functionability side by side..the iPhone is much more stable...so I have come to find..maybe some of you guys have had better luck..if so, I'm always open to options :)

Haha, Im just picking on the iPhone user :D

I think the iPhone is a pretty cool gadget really, but I dont compare it to some of the devices Android runs on. And thats the beauty, iPhone OS is for the iPhone. Android runs on many phones, with pretty damn good processors and many of them blow the iPhone hardware out of the water. I bought thevery first iPhone that came out. I planned on waiting in line when released a few years ago (however ended up at a store that had no line). the phone was cool of its time. But then it didnt have many functions that even my razor had and annoyed me. A year went by before they even considered an update, then when the update came out, it still didnt support picture messaging, that was the end of iPhone for me. I went to a Moto smart phone, had it for a long time, but like everyone that wants something differnt the droids came out and I tried on and havent considered switching to new iPhone, blackberrry, or any other new phone. If iPhone comes to Verizon, and it is the iPhone 5 or at least 4g service, I may pick it up as my second line. Otherwise Im going for the next good droid that offer 4g when it hits.

I've had every generation of the iPhone besides the 3GS, and I must say the original iphone should of been the iPhone 4 to start with.

Idk about out there...but out here our AT&T 3G service is actually faster than the supposably "4g". The jailbroken iPhone 4 Is pretty sweet...now without jailbreak they are very limited.. iPhone jailbreak warranty claims are alot like the Dmax warranty claims come to think of it! Lol!

I think it's late to buy the stock at this point in time. Too Late. As far as the Iphone, it will be a hit with the people who really just want to phone and use it without any tweaks. The Droid has been out long enough to show people that the Iphone isn't the only game in town for a cool phone. I know Verizon will have a run on them, but because people who have them already want better reception hence the switch.

Yep, Hold out people, its just he iPhone4 and doesnt support LTE.

Verizon is moving to 4g service, so hopefully iPhone will release a device that works with 4g. This is exactly what I figured would happen :(

Too bad, because I would consider an iPhone for second line IF itwas 4g.

Ill stick to droid. CES had a bunch of new droid OS phones coming out and quite a few 4g supported. :)

Until LTE support, there is no way to sit on hold and browse DuramaxDiesels.com using taptalk where there is only cellular data available.

HOWEVER, the built-in hotspot software is pretty cool.

The hotspot is cool but I think Verizon charges extra for that to be used too :( I know on the droid X it has it, but you have to pay verizon.

here i thought this thread was going to be about iphones and verizon, but as any other thread on the interwebby, my droid this, my iphone that.

any hoo, i am holding out for the iphone 5. hoping its 4g. have the 3g now and almost done with the contract. at&t towers are just toooo far apart and service sucks really bad, but there 3g internet is noticeably faster than verizon. i would gladly give some speed up(4g wont be my way for a while) to have better coverage. i will miss the role over minutes, but am concerned that verzions plans are going to be more that att. really would like to have the mobile wifi. bring on the price wars
