Don't have much time on my hands with work and family so does anyone have a class or anything else available for EFI? Not much history with boost, timming, fuel rail psi and stuff. And asking questions and waiting until someone answers(my dumb questions) sometimes takes awhile. I know this would and can be time consuming so i don't expect free either. THX

I'm thinking about it. Hopefully this winter I get some breathing room from race stuff, and will put something together.

I believe some time in the new year EFI will be coming out with an online diesel tutorial. They have semi-regular courses in Temecula for introductory EFI programming.

I taught the first class at EFI University (not affiliated with EFILive) in Temecula. We had some disagreements on what should be taught.

He wanted to teach theory, and tune using all the emissions equipment in place, and I wanted to do hands on performance tuning.

I really don't think that is what folk are looking for, so I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Thx for the post! I am very interested so please keep me in mind! Where i live its pretty much tuning for towing and mpg. But some times you get the guy that wants HP. You can only learn so much from what tunes you have already.

So you tune trucks for people, and you're looking for a class to learn how to do that?

Let me rephrase that before I get hit in the head by a flying smack down!!!!LOL I sell tunes that I buy from two other tuners. :D

Do you mean you buy tunes for two other tuners that know you are then selling them to other people?

If not that is stealing and we don't like that.

Now if you have a deal made up with the Tuners and they are letting you sell the tunes you buy from them it would be ok but still odd.

not a big deal really ive have done the same thing not all tha time but have done it. when a buddy asks if i can tune his truck i say no i cant but i have some one who can and tell them who and all that then i call tha guy up buy a new lic. and send him the stock tune. when he's done i load it in my buds truck. The tuner will charge me a certain price and i then sell it to my buddy. Both the tuner and the person i sell the tune to know what is going on. Never saw it as a big deal..hmmmmmm

Before everyone jumps down this guy's throat let's let him answer this.

I have customers that have bought EFI Live from me to tune their own trucks, then they have friends that want them to tune their trucks. We have a deal that they download the stock tune, send it to me, I email them a VIN license, mail them a DSP switch if applicable, and email them the performance tune for the truck. I only do this with guys I know I can trust, that don't own any kind of performance shop, and are just looking to help out with tuning for their friends and family. Details Unlimited is not one of my customers though.

Wow! I knew this would happen. I have a small shop in town that I have that my main business is in detailing for 7 dealerships. This is something I do on the side for fun. I do sell truck parts and tuners because everyone around here thinks bullydog, edge and banks are the best thing since slice bread. Most of these people are older that do not have a laptop and do not want to mess with a box tuner. So they buy a vin lic and YES I have Permission to buy and resell to customer. They know who i am and know I do this for the right reasons. And to be perfectly honest I don't sell that much anyway. I would like to but don't. We don't have the racers and sled pullers around here. Kinda of a DEAD market if you ask me. But if the tuners (2) that i buy from would like to chime in that fine eiter way. But I am aware of the stealing and read about it all the time. But there are still trust worthy people out there! The END

LIke Dustin said. But my customers tow travel trailers, horse trailers and want better MPG. Much older crowd. Actually i have talked with you dustin a couple of times and in the discussion I told you who I buy from. Not sure if you remember or not. Not here to defend myself, no need to guys cause I'm honest. Just no reason to lie. You will get caught in one. Remember everyone started somewhere, I just need the help of the pro's a little more than others!
