Intercooler question

Is there anything negative about reversing the air flow in a intercooler??? I have a banks. Is it designed to flow one direction???

Coming from the gasoline world it should not matter there should be no restriction in flow

Added water intercooler so I'm changing my piping drastically and it would b a simplistic route for me rather than flipping the intercooler around. Plus my turbo set up is all custom

I would assume so he can drive it on the street still. A intercooler will flow fine either way.

I was told u can't run just water to air on the road. I plan to till dial drive a lil. Or is that not true?

You can definitely run W/A intercooling on the street. All you need to do is add a heat exchanger to the truck where it can get plenty of airflow to cool the water. Most factory gasoline SC and TC cars run W/A intercooler. I think you'd make your life a lot easier ditching the A/A intercooler and adding a heat exchanger. If you need any help PM me.

6.7 Fords have W/A and A/A. Just have a low temp water system

Ditch the A/A if it is a pain, and add a radiator somewhere (like in the bed) with a fan. You can keep the icebox post radiator if you want to use it for the track. What I plan on doing next time around
