after having 3 mild jackknifes on flat wet roads with an empty trailer with light-mild braking this morning with gain all the way up. the intergrated brake controler on this LMM is effing junk!!!!
forgot to take a picture of the load i hauled from dayton oh to timken in niles OH. but did get a pick of this.. no P3 in stock have the P2 in the 99 as well..

That's a bummer you had to resort to that. I've heard the same thing here and there. Some trucks work amazing, some have the gain maxed out. I know the brake controller in my dad's LMM works flawlessly EXCEPT.... for one incident. Towing my pickup on a 32' gooseneck I had to panic stop on the interstate. Immediately the traction and ABS lights turned on and disabled the trailer brakes all together. Had to put it in the median to keep from ass-ending a Jeep. I'm not too keen on the system when the fail-safe mode is NO trailerbrakes. I never did get a chance to check what codes the system set.

Prodigies are the top dog though. Have one in mine and ZERO complaints :thumb:

i posted up on the place about it can got check your trailer?. from what i have gathered its a 200.00 dollar option that doesnt work well.. the P2 will drag tires with 10k load if i have it tooo much gain in light to mild braking applications.. the LMM with gain maxed out wont do it empty in a near panic stop.. i picked up a spool(100') of 12ga wire to run from the cab to the bumper of the truck..... some reason i have a feeling i should return it and find some 10ga wire.. less chance of a voltage drop.. got almost 200.00 wrapped up in it...

With my Prodigy I panic stopped this from 55 mph and it was smooth as silk. Not fun but smooth anyhow...;) Straight and true.

That's a good 13k hooked to the bumper. I see the Tekonsha as a wise addition.

the red truck when it was loaded will actually stop quicker then when empty.

it was pack wheel bearing time. i hooked the red truck with the P2 on tapped the manual activation lever on.. all brakes work. P2 did not detect anything wrong. spun the tires (trailer on jackstands) all tires stopped..

back axle brakes showed signs as if they where never connected with rust on the drum in the shoe contact area. thats roughly 7000 mile like this since i put the LMM under the trailer..
