So driving home a couple days ago the truck suddenly lost some power, an got a lot louder from the engine bay. I get home and my oe intake that was heavily modded had torn wide open. I guess 13 years was its limit. So I patched it and ordered a new one. Just painted the name plate as an accent piece and waiting for it to dry. It got this massive six inch filter, and had a very clean interesting design.

Good luck with that brand..... I put one on a 6.4 powerstroke and the filter passed dirt and the filter minder didn't seal either..... i trashed it. Fitment issues also

It was a royal pain getting it in but it has a very tight fit so I'm happy with it. With regard to the filter I read that it requires frequent cleaning to remain optimal which is a good thing since it is doing its job. It lets me keep a clean look in the engine bay so I'm satisfied. I have to swap fpr, change the turbo inlet gasket, install some heat wrap, put on a new turbo blanket, and do a new ac delco steering gearbox with the pitman/idler tomorrow after work. It was way past done on the oe I take

How the heck do you wreck an intake boot like that? If I were you, Id be checking my motor mounts to see if one is broken.

I got damaged when I was changing the ac lines. It was bound to happen. Reason why I had that intake waiting to go on
