Intake pics of stock (NOT blocked) EGR after 630,000 miles

Here's the pics from pulling 86burgandyss intake. His truck is 2007 LBZ with over 630,000 miles. Egr is stock, so is pcv.

That actually doesn't look horrible. Well, except for the van part...

It was surprisingly clean. Maybe 1/8th inch buildup from the egr towards the engine

Its been smoking heavy under load, espically pulling.

All fuel system from the tank to, and including injectors have been replaced.

Checking for air blockage.

We were thinking it might be chocked up like some of the pics we've all seen. NOPE.

Ya it was not bad at all. But like we said on DF it has to be the way it was driven. As in one cold start then run for the day.

Not short trips of 5-10 mins but full days.

In the last pic you can see the back of the intake wall is clean in the right side EGR port but not in the left. That is the path of the flow.

It was not smoking much on the hard pulls we did on our way home. But he was not towing anything.

Anytime. It was a good day. The border asked me nothing at all but said nice truck. Asked how long I was gone then on my way. Lol not the best lunch for you but hey it feels good.

BullyDog tuner. Not sure on what tune or how long but he is running it.

Iirc bully dog since almost brand new.

Water/meth?? Not bad for those miles. Mine was twice that thick at 115k miles but it had hot tunes for at least 85k of those.

Is it common for LBZs' to fail an egr cooler or do the typically just get plugged up?

No meth. He has bully dog programmer, 5 inch straight pipe, and stock intake.
