Hello all,

Putting an air pup on a cab and chassis dmax. I've got the pickup and feed lines plumbed, but I'm scratching my head on how to plumb in the return. The truck has a bale bed on it and instead of rubber filler neck hoses it has two short pieces 90* hose at each end of a 2' steel pipe. I've got easy access to the tank. I'm thinking about drilling a hole into the steel filler tube and welding the air dog nipple onto it. But it's very thin metal and im afraid it won't work well, other idea is to T into the factory return, but was afraid it would have too much pressure against it and wouldn't work correctly.

My air dog return line, returns into the factory feed line that comes off the top of the tank if that helps you any. I have had zero issues with this setup.

My airdog is plumbed into the return line before the cooler. I don't really like it, but that is how it has been for a couple years. That is how it was setup from Air dog

had the same problem I ran my airdog outside of frame and took out feed line from the tank ran it to pump and then to driverside port left the motor return the same and went to the filler neck for the return from the pump was the only way I could run it my frame is bigger then my 2500 and I did not have the Y piece in my kit like my 165 did

Cut 2" off each end of filler tube that was provided, then welded a bead around each end and slipped inside of the filler neck, pretty happy with it. As far as the other stuff, I mounted the air dog to the bottom of the bale bed clamped to a 3" channel that ran under the bed, it got the pump up and out of the elements and you won't hear it in the cab because it's not mounted to the frame. I hooked the pickup line up at fuel sending unit on top of tank, and for the feed I cut the fuel line where it is goes to the rubber section from frame to transmission and used pushloc splice. It turned out nice and clean
