Installed twins and injectors, balance rates r wack

I did 5 7 and 4. All read out the same. But it doesnt tell me if the power is going thru the plug to the injector. Just that it has power up to the plug....

Well got the compression test finished last night. Cll 4 and cyl 6 was low. 4 was 235 and 6 was 378. All others was 410. Got the rocker assembly and all out last night. Pushrod r all good. Get the head off tonight and know a lil more of wats going on.

Just like that? You must have a problem prior if not then perhaps those cylinders hydro locked at start up? That sucks for sure

No problem prior. Almost got the head off so I'll know tonight. Pretty well homo though

Hey shut ur mouth. It's not the rods lol. Naw it could be but being 2 cyls right beside each other I'm thinking blown gasket or cracked head. We shall see. Worse case motors coming out for a build.

well unless you didnt torque them headstuds down right, i dont see it bein a HG or cracked head. your rad hose would also be rock hard and pushing coolant out of the bottle if it were that bad. either you cracked a piston or a rod is bent my friend :hug:. if you cracked a piston, you would have blow by pretty bad out of the oil fill and PCV. i had two bad cyl right next to each other as well. My whole right bank (cyl 1,3,5,7) were in worse shape than my left bank (cyl 2,4,6,8).

either way, im pullin for ya to have it be an easy fix :D. its not fun having your truck down for any length of time

I dnt dd the truck it just sits in the garage till events or a nice day. If they r cracked or rods ruined bout wats it cost to do a built block. Been told 15 to 20 but haven't priced it out. But I dnt believe it's a hg. Unfortunately

well i assembled my motor and with just a built short block, i was into it 6500 bucks. thats a no frills short block either (in my eyes, you could go even less than i did if you really wanted). consisted of delipped LB7 pistons (my stockers delipped) not coated w/ new rings, crower rods, headstuds, mainstuds, all the machine work, clevite h rod and main bearings, new stock cam bearings, magged crank, heads checked out and cleaned, all the gaskets needed, and some other things (new water pump, ect). could have saved a grand or so in a few different areas but it wasnt worth the chance to me to go that route since this was my first diesel build.

Prior to twins I was running a single cheetah at around 600hp. Just shy of it anyways. I wouldn't mind spending 10k to get the parts so I can build it to handle a shit ton of hp. 900 to 1100 be kickass. Guess I needa do some pricing.

Not gonna happen with cast pistons. At least not reliably.

mine are still holding together with almost 20,000mi at almost 1000hp! lol im counting the days though for sure. :(

it sucks you never got to drive it with the twins on it though.
